Some information on the competition - Welcome to the 2010 Battle of The Clubs! Every month, Digital SLR User magazine invite the UK camera clubs to enter their club’s favourite top three images based on that month’s theme. To find out the current theme, scroll down for the timetable.

Immediately after the round ends, the judges will go through every entry and judge each of the club’s three images on the following criteria:
• Picture impact (creativity/colour/mood) – max of 5 points
• Technical quality (Image/print quality) – max of 5 points
• Composition – max of 5 points

Each club’s entry can gain up to a maximum of 45 points per round: the idea being that the more rounds a club enters, the more that their points tally and position on the league table will rise. The winner of the Battle of the Clubs 2010 will be the club with the greatest points tally after the final round.

THE PRIZE
There is a massive £3,000 up for grabs for the winning club to spend on Canon imaging products, from a digital projector to a new lens or a printer. The choice of what the winning club can spend the prize fund on is up to its members/management.

NEW FOR 2010
• The Best Overall Picture from any round will win a £1000 voucher for Canon imaging products, which can be won by an individual photographer.
• The Club with the best overall monthly entry will also win a £1000 Canon voucher

So please remember to email Tony Gill with any suitable images you may have for Round 6 (sport/action) onwards. Images at this stage need only be jpegs no larger than 854 wide or 594 high at 72 dpi.
