Re-Sizing and Titling your digital images for Club Competitions

Digital images for competitions must be submitted as jpeg files sized with maximum dimensions width 1400 x height 1050 pixels. If your image is not exactly 1400 x 1050 pixels the club software will fill the height or width dimension with black to make it the correct proportion.
Resizing images in Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5 etc:
1. Start with your image open in Photoshop CS.
2. Click on the "Image" menu button, and then click "Image size" from the drop down menu.
3a. Landscape format – In the "Pixel Dimensions" box, change "width" to 1400 pixels. Now check the "height". If this exceeds 1050 pixels, change the "height" to 1050 pixels.
3b. Portrait format - In the "Pixel Dimensions" box, change "height" to 1050 pixels.
4. Save image as a JPG (Use "File> Save As" to ensure you don’t over-write your original).

Titling images
If sending images by email, name your image files according to these examples, numbered according to the order in which you wish them to be shown

01 Beautiful Landscape
02 Creative Masterpiece

If handing your images to the projectionist on a disk, please create a folder named with your name and place your images, titled as above, in that.

Failure to follow the above instructions may prevent the competition software from including your image in the competition. We’d like to see your images, so please ask for advice if you get stuck – email di4dorcamclub@gmail.com
