Nov 21st OnOne Software package: Perfect Photo Suite 6

Andy & Andrea came from Northants to give us a demonstration of Perfect Photo Suite 6 the latest offering from onOne Software. We were shown a rapid demonstration of all the products available as plug ins for Photoshop & Photoshop Elements, Lightroom & Aperture as well as stand-alone applications.

I was surprised to learn that despite the large number of megapixels already available to us on modern digital cameras, Genuine Fractals now renamed as Perfect Resize 7 is their biggest selling product and some people want to be able to resize 1000x

Some of the applications were better received than others, this was to be expected as the needs & expectations of Camera Club members are very different from those of commercial photographers. I felt a frisson of disapproval when we realised that a selection of skies & textures is included in the package. Maybe the demos for camera clubs could take this into account & just suggest that people have a bank of their own work for this purpose.

I think a useful addition to the demonstration would be some actual results from the products presented as prints or a Photobook as there was so much to take in on the night and too little time for Andy to go through all the options as he had so many to choose from.

There was a very attractive offer for the complete Suite but as most people would only want a selection it would have been appreciated if individual applications were also as competitively priced.

With such a powerful options available for each application it was difficult for Andy to cover all the advanced options in one evening but the website link onOnesoftware has over 100 tutorials to learn more about the individual products. There is also a series of interactive webinars
