Canon 5D MkII with Canon 24-105 at f/13.0 15 seconds ISO 100 - I positioned myself at a traffic intersection with buses coming from the Whitehall direction, past Big Ben and the House of Commons and then turning right. The solid elements of the picture were Portcullis House, the London Eye and Big Ben. I waited until a single bus was travelling along about to turn right with another one passing by the camera itself to produce the white lines crossing the middle of the picture. I took a number of shots with these ingredients until I got the one I liked with the right amount of movement and light.

I love the way the solidity of the buildings contrasts with the spontaneity of the light trails across the picture. Also I like the way that the Eye seems to hang in the air above Portcullis House and the insubstantiality of the bus with its advertisement - Zoopla - so clearly shown. It’s a one off moment of spontaneous movement and light trails.
