Wessex Trophy Competition, held at the Corn Exchange, Dorchester on 30 October 2017
Dorchester won the 2017 Wessex Trophy, but it was a very closely fought battle! We were neck and neck with Blandford until the very last round, with Wareham and Weymouth in close pursuit.
The judge (Sue Sibley) held back her 17 favourite images to award scores at the end, adding to the suspense. All 7 clubs who entered had some really excellent photos and had images held back. Congratulations everyone.
Thank you to all our photographers - Iain Friend, Frances Underwood, Tony Gill, Jeremy Lee-Potter, John Tilsely, Susan Buckland, Val Duncan and Tim Dowton and a big well done to Tony for winning the trophy for the best indiviual image and to Val (2nd place) and to Iain (3rd) place.
Also a huge thanks to last year's winners, Wareham, for hosting the evening and for putting together a splendid raffle for the Dorset Air Ambulance which raised £171. Finally the most important thank you of all goes to John Tilsley who yet again did all the hard work to organise a splendid event. Thank you, John!
