PAGB Distinctions - The Story So Far

Dorchester makes an impact - see the PAGB e-news issue 260 extra, 01 July 2020
The current edition of the newsletter of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (the PAGB e-news) has an extra issue dedicated to the PAGB's Awards for Photographic Merit - the CPAGB, DPAGB and MPAGB. This includes charts and league tables showing the achievements of the regional federations and their clubs.

As a club, we are delighted that we are one of the ten most successful clubs since the awards began in 1994 and we are listed in the league table on page 4 of the e-news extra. Club members have gained 15 CPAGB awards, 15 DPAGB awards and 3 at the highest level (MPAGB), making a grand total of 33.

To celebrate this achievement, I've compiled a list of the PAGB awards gained by club members, past and present, and this is now presented in our Distinctions Roll of Honour. I hope that we are eventually able to expand the Roll of Honour to add members' new PAGB achievements and to include RPS and other distinctions.

One of next PAGB award assessment events is to be held in the Western Counties in 2021. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in gaining a PAGB distinction. Club members gained 8 awards the last time the event came to the Southwest. If you are interested in finding out more please contact John Tilsley via the club gmail and ask about the Distinctions Support Group.

Finally, to keep up to date with information on PAGB events, competitions and results, don't forget to sign up for the e-news, usually published every two weeks and delivered by email to your inbox
