Opening Night of 2025/26 season

During the first part of the evening, Tim Downton, Chris Parvin, Chris Stoot and Jane Lee presented some superb images from the SIGs which they co-ordinate. All members were encouraged to join one or more SIGs this year as they are great ways to develop your photography, meet other club members and have fun.
After the coffee beak, Jenny Warr talked about the 15 beautiful wildlife pictures for which she was awarded the prestigious Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (DPAGB) earlier this year. Then Alan Setchell explained his route to the award of Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) including the role in this journey played by the distinctions group organised by John Tilsley. The approaches of the PAGB and RPS are different, but the club will support members who would like to develop their skills through the pursuit of an award from either body.
Many thanks to everybody who helped make the first evening of the year a success.
